Even though the M is nice, I would probably have stuck with the M40i.

Also even though it says it coded the remote fob Long Press to Close Liftgate feature, it doesn't work.

For the heck of it, I coded the ASD off and took a ride. I didn't get 2 miles before I turned around and changed it back on. Boring with it off.
For the long press on the fob to work, you have to set the fob to do both open and close. If you left it to only open, it will only open. I forget if that's position 1 or 2, but it will say open. Once I changed mine to open and close, it worked.

For the tailgate you need to change the:

Tailgate function remote control
The tailgate function that is triggered when the button on the remote is pressed.

Values:
Open
Open and close
Available in »Tailgate Function Module« HKFM2

Then change back the one you did and then you don’t have to hold the close button the whole time that the tailgate is closing, which I coded today on mine, really nice coding change!

Bimmercode site seems to be saying that the OBDlink adapter will also do these new features, shame it's Android only, and more expensive though!

Question about the BT adapters, if you're connected to it with your phone can you also be connected to the car for phone calls simultaneously?

Looked it up. Need to set "Tailgate remote operation" to open and close

That did it. Thanks to all.

Now if I could just find the missing"M40i" name that I changed to "M" in the instrument cluster gauges. The mystery continues.

You have to use the restore function in the instrument cluster coding because the original value that you changed to "M" is "Unknown".

Yes. Just make a note of other changes you want / already made, restore from backup, and then make those other changes again.

Like the other said.. need to run the restore feature.. though you may have a few steps back. I noticed that bimmercode saves every time just in case you have to perform a restore.

The app update has now given me access to the kafas ECU and options for warnings in the HU_NBT_EVO.
BDC = Fem + REM. And, more options are available on G-series/F90.

All Convenience
Driving Mode
Seat & Steering Heat
Easy Entry (though needs coding in seat modules as well)
BFD, Hazards
Lighting Behavior (coupled with KAFAS & FLM)

Only M40 has ASD

My lists do not include everything that can be done.
E-sys can VO code, which Bimmercode can not.
If you can read ECU with expert mode (& mapping correct), then same function can be coded with app

I see, thank you! On my F30 in REM I had my tail lights as DRL, but I see in your pdf it says not working, is that correct?

Correct. 8TL was factory option for front and rear DRL. That does not exist on G-series.

I don't think I saw a restore feature for the instrument cluster? I did for the ASD, which I went back to.

Thanks, I should have remembered using it from restoring the ASD.
It worked, but I'm trying the Alpina gauges to see if I like them. Maybe the M40i doesn't show up with the Alpina gauges.
