Probably going to have to find a company that covers the gap for the first 12 months so I get my moneys worth
That's not strictly true. The X3MC is ABI insurance group 46. The highest is 50. So it's very high, but not the highest.

I see, lied to by an insurance company .....won't be the first time. Although when I phoned they knocked £150 off it .

They are not to be trusted!! In my experience it's always worth a phone call as the operators have more leeway than a computer algorithm on discounts. When calling always say that you tried to do it On their website but it shows an error message - that way they always waive any "admin fee" that some of them charge

My quote is cheaper than my M50d at just £400, that was through confused and I generally find when you do the final detail thing with the actual insurer they always find something to warrant a slight increase, but overall quite pleased!

Kind of the same as me, 33 yo, no points/accidents, 15 years NCD, missus on the insurance and around £700......which is still a couple of hundred more than previous cars. When I asked it was the insurance group the car is in as mentioned about somewhere above in the thread . I however don't have the L post code .

I’ve the same states (as such) as you and I’m at 600 + tracker or 799 without.

Some of those numbers are huge, as averages. Which are very reliable so I am not doubting them but I am amazed at the premiums people are paying.

Being in the top 3rd of that list certainly won't help me.

I've just run some quotes for myself as the only driver and I'm looking at £1,800+. I am not looking forward to renewal next year.

Just got quote from M&S as they don't require a tracker. Quote was near enough £1200 nearly 3 times the quote from current company.

I know there are a lot of variables to take into account, age, area, NCB, etc but Im interested to know what kind of prices people are paying.

I was looking at an X5 M-Sport but the currently deals on X3M's has made me think twice.
Using the same details as above I have just obtained a quote for a X3M Comp with my present insurer Aviva

As part of a multi car policy which includes additional discount, if that is what you call it - Premium of £957 a year 54yo, full 15 years NCB, no accidents or endorsements, West Mids reside, 8K a year and £500xs......I need to move to scotland for cheaper insurance premiums me thinks!

£600 through Direct Line - £70 refund on my 335d... bizarre but will gladly accept it...

Checked on the comparison sites and getting similar quotes back.

I just went to finalise my insurance a head of collection on Saturday!
Confirmation of a tracker installed, changing my wife’s job description and parking the car on the drive rather than in the garage saved just over £300.
No idea... don’t ask
