Essentially, the driver's seat automatically slides back when you open the driver's door, and slides into your position once you close the driver's door.

I've seen it done on other BMW's.
Im also keen on this

I found this video on how to do it via Bimmercode in expert mode.

I haven't purchased my car yet, so can't try it, but someone else definitely should!

No, it has physically different gearing on the steering rack, it's not an electronic gimmick.

Does anybody know the steps, how to code in Bimmercode (if possible), to be able to open the trunk only when the car is unlocked?

maybe Bimmercode haven't unlocked the module completely yet.

I guess you mean when the car is locked?

It's in idrive:

No. I mean only when is unlocked. To prevent the accidental opening of the trunk by pushing the button on remote.

Ok I see what you mean now! Dealers will code this for you if you complain about the boot opening unintentionally, so it's probably possible somehow in expert mode, but not in the normal options on bimmercode.

I found it in another thread, but you didn't poat the result (or I wasn't able to find it). Would you mind to share what value you used? And most importantly - did it work?

Just want to share a coding I just found:

To change Tailgate open delay using remote control

1). Goto BDC (Body Domain Control), then go into Expert mode.
2). Goto "30D0 RemoteControlMaster"
3). Goto "RCM_Time_Delay_Bootlid"
4). Change the Wert_01 value from 05 (Default) to 30.

Now I have to hold the tailgate button for about 5 sec for the tailgate to open.
Closing is not affected.

Don't ask me why value 30 is end up about 5sec.
I try value of 30, just because it is 6 times the default 05. Wonder if I change it to 20 will end up being like 4 sec.

I now feel much safer with this coded.

Hope it helps

I have bought multiple BMWs from both dealers in the past.

I then bought OBDLink MX+ (from Amazon, $50 after discounts) and updated the firmware. Got OBDLink for Android and BimmerCode, now in a new version 1.26.0-4641.

So far, I have used BimmerCode to make these changes:

Active Sound Design Module: -> Deactivate. [I don’t want any artificial sound played through the sound system, but I do see that the Expert mode does offer some ways to tweak the sounds played, for those who might find that interesting.]
?
Hey there, now that u turned off active sound, how does it sound? Do u like it?
does it just get rid of the synthesized sound through the speakers or does it also modify the burbles externally as well. Appreciate your feedback.

What adapter are you guys using now? I ordered the Vgate but Bimmercode's website now says those don't work well anymore. Is the next best USA option the OBDLink MX+ ? Huge price difference.

As far as I can tell, it just shuts off sound through the speakers and doesn't affect the burbles. As I have mentioned earlier or on another thread, I had several reasons for killing the artificial sound and I'm happy with the result. A couple of times, under the right conditions, I have undone the shut off and gone into Expert mode and played with the various alternative engine sound choices, just for the fun of it.

In everyone's experience, how often does Bimmercode release new features/modules?
