That’s awesome, did you opt for steel or titanium?

Thanks!!
I would say Valetronics is the best sounding in my opinion, I ordered one. coming in Tuesday and apparently, I will be the first in the world with a Full titanium version for X3M / X4M. Will post videos as soon as I install it.

That’s amazing, can’t wait to hear it. Are you running stock downpipes?

Sorry for the delay. My buddy wasn’t able to stay long so I was only able to get a cold start with a couple revs. I wish I could have got a rolling shot as that would really highlight the exhaust combo but this should help give others an idea.

Akrapovic Axleback
AA NR Midpipe
Valves Open (fuse pulled)

Filmed on a GoPro HERO11 Black (sound accuracy is almost dead on)

https://youtu.be/MrQdd8gA0-Y

I might be able to get some rolling shots next week if he has time.

Thanks for the footage, what’s your thoughts after hearing in person and is there even more to hear with this combo in the rolling footage?

It’s the most aggressive sounding setup of the various combinations I tried. I love it and I constantly get compliments on the sound.

I try not to judge an exhaust without hearing it at WOT. For example, Akrapovic with the ER midpipe has a higher pitch with some rasp at high RPMs (I use to get negative comments on it all the time). Switching to the AA NR midpipe gave it a deeper tone and removed almost all of that rasp in the same RPM range. You can’t hear that from just a cold start video with some revs alone. I’ll try to get a rolling video by next weekend before I sell my X3MC.

biased opinion of course, but full akrapovic (midpipe + exhaust) is the best combo between in terms of tone and volume.

that being said, I sometimes think that an ER midpipe would sound more aggressive as I miss that from my old F80 (I kind like the raspy noise). then again, we all need to grow up at some point.

Coming from someone that ran Akrapovic + ER for a couple months, the AA NR midpipe sounds much more aggressive without that annoyingly bad rasp.

I wish I could have tried the Akrapovic link pipe though, I've heard great things about it.

AA midpipe does sound interesting.

As for the Akrapovic midpipe, I'd say the only advantage of it is its ridiculous weight (lack thereof). I can basically lift the whole with a few fingers. That being said, although its probably not restrictive, its resonator does dampen the sound a lot making it a lot quieter than it needs to be... perfect for the daily driver but at times, I just like things really loud and I can't 100% get it there.

That being said, because it's not sold in the US I'll never get rid of the thing. Too priceless imo.

Would love to have an Akra mid-pipe to go with my Akra Cat-back.
No luck here in the US!

Comparing the sound of the GtHaus(Brocks videos), vs the valvetronic…sounds like the GTHaus has a LOT more volume. I’m running the ER mid pipe only with stock exhaust and I find myself wanting more sound. I get a ton of rasp(mainly cold start) with just my ER mid pipe. Brock, how is cold start with the GTHaus? Any videos completely Cold?

I'm tuned so I have the cat heating cycle "cold start" turned off. This is the factory setting where the rpms raise above 1k. With the valves closed the start up is extremely quiet though.

Is external waste gate/screamer pipes possible
With s58? Heard a B58 m340 video with this + other mods, and sound emitted was really loud & exotic. I feel like all the available midpipe and axle back combos are limited in terms of delivering that exotic tone - how do I solve for this
