Removed and cleaned the MAF and MAP sensors. Probably a waste of time, they were dry and spotless.
Meguirs #7 and a crap load of elbow grease on the Blackline trim. That was worth the time and effort, went from an oxidized rainbow colored mess to shiny and black again. All that junk around the windows of course led to a thorough wash and wax. Ready for winter! |

Blind Spot Detection and Remote Start added today!!! Ordered a replacement key fob to replace the one sacrificed for remote start. Work was done by a local premium automotive sound shop.

removed all 4 OEM runflat tires (Bridgestone) and replaced them with significantly cheaper 4 Yokohama standard tires, ride is much more smooth and responsive.

Also I'm pretty pleased with the blind spot warning system. I'll try to take a photo of the install and post it to this thread as well. My recommendation is to call around. I had two quotes on the work and after visiting the first place I decided to go with the upscale installer. They both said they could do the work without issue. |

Since I didn't do the work I don't know exactly. From what I was told the rear bumper was removed and the microwave emitters/sensors were installed in side the bumper.

I have feature code 8S4 (Variable Light Decoding) on my windown sticker for my X3. Does this mean mine is already coded to do this? My headlights do the "reference run" sequence (move down, then back up) on startup.

Is this not the case? I'm just curious if you've had a friend drive at you or anything and whether or not it actually ended up blinding the oncoming car? It's been awhile since I've thought about this so maybe I'm totally off base! |
