There's four or five of us already in the forum for today's build, biting our nails. One of the guys posted a pic showing he's in "quality check" already.

Mine is now in “AWAITING CARRIER ASSIGNMENT”. All packages and options are still listed (including HK). Fingers crossed that it’s accurate.

My opinion on the HK: it’s more advantageous for BMW to remove HK from the standard features list of the X3M but allow the M40i owners to add it as a $700 option. Know what I’m trying to say?

They credit the missing equipment back. So this theory doesn't work either.

Decode the vin online. At this stage it should be already active. Check a vin decoder on Google. That will tell you if it has it or it doesn't.

How much is the HK credit? The 2022 has no credit for passenger lumbar and digital key removal on the build sheet. It seems to now be just built into the base price. I think my theory makes perfect sense. I’ve tried to decode the VIN. None of the usual sites work.

To your point: I don't have the credit yet. But the HK was added as a standard feature in the press release.

They could do what you are mentioning, simply scrap the system and not let X3Ms even the option to pick HK. It just dilutes the M brand even further, I don't think it's worth it for them to take an HK from my car and put it on yours because you'll pay 700 bucks for it and they can't extract that value from me. It's possible but unlikely in my opinion.

We'll know sooner than later.

Just thought I`d chime in. I have an X3 30e LCI on order and have run into the same issues with shortages affecting the seats, comfort package, not being able to order DA Prof and finally the HK system. My dealer (in Denmark) showed me the information they were given by BMW about the shortage durations and for HK it is supposed to end September 1st, which is why we pushed my production slot to September. I did already have a spot in August confirmed at first. My car is being built in Spartanburg.

From the list I saw, it looks like the other affected parts does not yet have an expected end date.

Being in Denmark with crazy high car taxes my order after discount arrived at USD 107.500. Imagine paying that and being told you cannot have ACC.. ��. Ordered anyway as I really like the look of the new LCI and besides have had BMW’s for ages now and not about to change. No real alternatives that I am interested in TBH.

It's "Deletion of BMW Individual Lights Shadowline." If you order Laser Lights then there is only one type whereas the standard LEDs come in normal or Shadowline. M40i/d in UK comes with Shadowline package as standard.

No worries.

What it probably means is that he'll take the order at 6% off MSRP but he won't be able to submit the order right away, you'll have to wait for one of his dealerships to get an allocation. But I'm unsure. You should ask him, I just DM'd you. He publishes an xls list with available cars, that where I saw this.

He has availability for X3Ms now at 6% off MSRP.

Where are you getting 4%?
