You can change any of the colors shown in the head unit to any RGB value you want. To be clear: you cannot change the name of the color that is displayed in the head unit; you can only change the RGB values underlying that name. Look at BDC_BODY2, branch 3074 LciMasterColor.

There is a "screen mirroring" topic, in which someone stated it works with Pixel.
Search for it.

Afaik only iPhone won't work...

I'd have to look at my iDrive color choices, but I think that Ensemble 1 corresponds to the first choice listed in iDrive, Ensemble 2 to the second choice, etc. What you can do is record how these settings are coded by BMW, use BimmerCode to change the bronze color, and then review what BimmerCode changed. You can then make your own changes to the other ensembles. The question I don't know the answer to is how many of the six layers are actually used in the X3. It could be just the first two. Studying what BimmerCode changes when you change bronze will help. Though be prepared that without E-Sys, this will be a labor intensive exercise.

Nope. Did not work for me on the Pixle 3XL.

I go to WiFi direct on the phone and car shows as an option.

The phone shows my car (BMWvin) as available. I click it and it changes to Invited.

In the car I go to Screen Mirroring. Click on Add device. It says authentication for 120 seconds. It does nothing.

Back to phone. Click cancel the invited and try again. I flip to Invited.

Car immediately shows "authorize Pixel Paul to connect to vehicle" and I click "Okl.

The car shows "Connecting..." for 15 seconds and then "Timeout. Device could not be connected".

Nope. Did not work. It looks like it almost gets there but then dies.

Ideas?

what app allows screen mirroring to work on Pixel phone?
I have S8+, i have smart view app.
You may be doing it wrong, i didnt use Wifi direct.

For pixel users if you want screen mirroring, look at the following link to enable miracast on your phone for it to work.

Mine is not rooted. Maybe that is the reason I cannot get the Pixel 3XL to work with my 2018.

I tried many times. Nothing.

Anyone want to put specific steps to make this work after coding, I'd love to try it!

What do you mean by permanently off? ASS cannot be coded to be permanently off. The best you can do is turn on ASS memory. It will remember the last state of the ASS button in comfort mode (it will always default to on in Eco Pro). Did you code

I was able to code ASS memory with BimmerCode on my 2020 M40i with ID7. This makes it so that the car remembers the last setting when you turn it on.

Same. Except my wife likes ASS so she wants it to be on. So I have to hit the button when I start the car and then remember to hit it again when I stop.

She also won't let me swap out the start button for a red one.

Is there a pussy whipped emoji?

I don't have issues accessing the head unit and other ECUs with E-Sys, but I have issues with mappings. The recent recall (I had it done last week) updated the coding files to the most recent version and there seems to have been some changes. I am lying low for now until E-Sys gets updated to handle the recent changes. I suspect that Stephan is probably working on an update too.

So, I also had an updated iDrive.
Now on software version: MB-007.005.013

After this update I couldn't code the section: "Roof Function Center", anymore.
"No codeable data" and no green icon in front.

Sent an email to bimmercode and had a superquick response:

the required data for the missing control units will be added to the app with the next app update soon and then you will be able to code these again.
