M40i shifting into gears randomly?

Last few weeks my 2019 M40i is switching into park/auto park when slowing down or at a complete stop. Anyone else have this issue?

It is at the dealer for a back camera recall now and I mentioned it to them and they said nothing as to why and basically said we hope it doesn't happen again lol.

Makes sure your Auto Hold isn't on. If that isn't the problem, take it back to the dealer.

If it happens again I'll take it back. They didn't find any issues with it when I took it back in for recall today.

Believe it or not my wifes Mercedes Glk was doing this and I searched the net and found the reason in that car. If u keep your i Phone sitting over the car key fob the electromagnetic waves are much stronger than the bmw key to immobilzer connection. The key may not be detected and car went into park at 2-3 kms per hour! Since I had her move key to different location- no issues!

Thanks, I'll make sure to keep the keys away from the phone!
