Compass in MY2020 instrument cluster/driver display?

Is there a way to always display the compass on the MY2020 instrument cluster/driver display?

If it didn't change, president the BC button on the left stalk repeatedly until it shows on the bottom of the cluster.

I think the information which are available in on-board computer are dependent on the the.of NAV. Do you have the basic one (small screen)? Actually I think someone was already asking about this..try to search the forum.

I'm a little lost as to why people want a compass, when NAV provides direction, compass and more.

Regardless. In iDrive 6, you could have in your Instrument Cluster. iDrive 7 doesn't have this option; however you can configure the Console Display to display location info with compass in as one of the larger panels. 1/4 panel will only display GPS data, 1/2 panel size shows GPS and compass data.. all the info Old Timers like. ;-)

You're correct. This wouldn't apply though when I have Waze on the console display (and iDrive 7). I need the compass out of habit (maybe was a sailor in my past life

).
Found out Google maps on Central Console (via CarPlay, iDrive 7) shows compass direction during navigation; so GMaps it is for me.
