Garage List
2019 m40i maintenance intervals

I misplaced my manual and can't figure out exactly when the services are required in my m40i. I currently have 5500 miles and the dash is saying call dealer for oil change but it says due in 4600 miles. So I'm not sure why it would be warning me right now. Also I assume RFT's should also be rotated every 5k miles.

Does any have a list of exactly how many miles I have to take my car in to service and what gets done at that mileage interval. Thanks

It's by mileage or by 1 year interval. If you have reached a year then it is still due.

My dealer suggested I get mine done now at 7 months and 4500 miles. So I take it in next week and get a loaner.

That's interesting your on yearly service intervals in the USA. In Europe we have variable servicing and mine went in for its first service at 15000 miles and that was 1k before it was due.

Don't you have staggered wheels? If so, how would you be able to rotate them?

I took the car to the dealership and had the oil and recall done. I asked about tire rotation and the service advisor said 10k miles. Is that correct? Possibly because of RFT? I have tire warranty so I'm going to "use" (wink wink) the warranty regardless but I would still prefer to rotate them at the correct interval.

But not if staggered set up though as the other forum member above pointed out...square set up, no problem
