I had an early appointment this morning so I was up spreading salt on the driveway at 6. No problem getting out.
Came back a few minutes ago and it was a mess. Made the mistake of going down the drive to park in my garage. Used hill descent control. No help, it was sliding out of control. Brakes finally stopped me just short of a retaining wall. However the slight gradient meant that the parking brake would not hold the car. Fortunately my son was home - he put some salt behind the tires and I was able to back up. Off to the hardware store for more salt. I will spend a good part of the day chipping at the ice. At the hardware they have icicle pansies for sale. I mean literally icicles with flowers underneath. If these April showers are going to bring May flowers, I hate to think of what kind of flowers they will bring. Apparently the strawberry crops in California and Mexico have been hit with frost. Prices are at $7 a pint. Given the weather, I think that I will stick to another more liquid kind of pint. |

Yeah, I'm in FL as well, went with 18 (tint) all around... looks great! (spacers and Jb4 will make it nearly perfect!)

I'm not opposed to 20 mm, but also thinking about going w 255/285 w next set... 20's and the wider tires might be just over flush.

I picked my X3 up on Friday in Minnetonka. Definitely no longer sparkling clean. The blizzard was impressive. I saw a woman spin out in a Civic about 200 yards in front of me on 94. Visibility was horrible for most of the day on Saturday.
The X3 handled it well, fortunately. |
