How many miles on the new car when picking up from the dealer?
Greetings everyone, I'm just wondering that how many miles should you expect to be on your brand new X3 when you taking the delivery from the dealer? 5 - 10 miles on the Odometer?
Thanks very much! |

I would say below 10 is good and the lower the better. If it has say like 15-20 then I fear someone might have taking it for a bit of an abuse ride.

my VW i bought 2 cars ago had under 5 when i got in it for first test drive -not a special order, just fresh off the truck the night before I was the only tester and i bought it.
I'm SO looking forward to the X3 which should also have under 5 The only thing i'm stuck on right now is do i want to put a quick 560 miles on it (according to google maps) by driving back from Spartanburg? so tempting to go down there if i can get off of work. K3V808 - i see u are upgrading from the old X3? you must be excited! what color is the new on?

When is yours going to be ready? The PCD sounds really nice if you can make it. Did you went to the BMW Drive for Team USA event? If you did, you won't be able to do the PCD but you get a thousand dollar off instead. I was going to do the PCD until my SA told me that I can't do it because of that, well, maybe next time... |

Mine had two miles.
If it's any more than 10, I'd say your car might have been a test drive dummy in a last ditch effort to sell someone on the X3. |

6. mine, however, had gone through VPC in Oxnard, so I am sure there was some driving from the train to the truck. also, the dealer drove the car to the gas station and to their shop to be detailed.

I had 8 miles as well, but I purchased my X3 from the Downtown Manhattan dealer which does not have a lot, so they had to drive it from a lot they use in New Jersey

I work for a BMW dealer in Utah, our cars have anywhere from 6-20 miles on the odometer coming off the truck. I am not sure where the miles come from. But I wouldnt be worried about the cars having a few miles on them!
