Nope. Was considering 70% crystalline, but they wanted $225 for the windshield alone. Seems a bit absurd. I've never done my windshield before, so figured why part with tradition.

I've never even looked into tinting. Only curious for this car cause the factory difference between front and back looks big. What did the front and back cost you? (I probably have different needs to you. FL vs NJ)

The back metered right at 20% and I forgot to get a reading on the front. After putting 50% on the back it came down to 12% and they're estimating 15% on the front. I may go back Thursday when I can roll down the windows for a reading on the front. Everything except the windshield using 3M color stable ran me $350. They wanted another $225 for just the windshield done in 3M crystalline. Crystalline 70% is the only film to use for a windshield in my opinion as it imparts a slight blue hue and is mostly transparent.

Would it be a mistake just to do the fronts?

I think if you did it, it would be purely cosmetic and just bring the fronts in line with the rear in terms of color, but the car would still get hot due to inferior heat rejection. Depending on the locale, it may make sense. 20% color stable on the front would match up almost perfect with the rear. You'd really have to look hard up close to notice any difference.

I definitely started thinking about it for cosmetic reasons, but heat rejection sounds good, too. Even if less important in the northeast. Maybe I'll start with the fronts if I can get a good price. As much as I want it to match, might do it a little less dark up front to reduce my chance for a ticket since not allowed to tint the front at all here.

If that's the case I would just go with 3M crystalline in a very light shade. It has superior heat rejection compared to even the color stable I put on my car. In the past they didn't make 20% in crystalline, they do now. The problem with crystalline is every percentage is a different shade, so you can't really do multiple values and expect consistency, plus the cost is more then double color stable. My entire car with crystalline (including windshield) would have been close to $800. If I was just considering the front two windows in a state that doesn't allow any tint at all, I would have got 70% crystalline.

How difficult do you think it will be to remove them when the time comes?

Ordered all the IND color matched parts today too

It's a local brand called vertini wheels. Nothing too fancy. Flow formed and a pretty solid price

Not many options in 21s. Keeping my oem tires for now. I'll have pics up once everything's done in a couple of weeks

I like the way these actually fit into the existing paddle. Do they make one for the f30?

I did the same thing with our new i3S - picked it up one day then next dropped it off at Park Place Auto Spa for PPK, ceramic coating, and ceramic window tint.
