No, it's not matte, just the reflection of the sun. I should have waited until later in the day, but I had taken it out for lunch and decided to take pics at that time.

There is no comparison of the HIFI to the HK. I could immediately tell the difference as soon as I turned on the radio. Don't sweat you will enjoy, HK sounds different in different cars on the X4 I didn't find it worth the extra cash, maybe because I don't play my music loud. Anyway, interesting perspective here on one of the member who tried all 3.

I would go X4 again.... had an X3, have an X4 now ..... never regretted it..... only consideration: do you need the extra boot space?
