Hi Tjalle,

well the video is very of poor quality for sound and image. The sun light is hidding well details. The side mirrors seems to be of the correct colour, but here again the shadow hide the right colour tone. The video quality was too poor to identify the type of steering Wheel. But the exhaust shape seems to be correct.

Of course if we compare the sound of this car with the one from the Autobild.Tv https://youtu.be/zuygpOJAa0I then the engine's sounds of the white m40i is a bit disappointing, specialy when the driver revs at the begining. But we must not forget that the engine sounds recorded by Autobild.Tv was done in a closed room.

the last 2 days I had a m135i, what a cool sound it has.

SANK: my reading is: M has turned to the same supplier as for Klappen (which I believe is same as for AMG) but they, perhaps, don`t dare to have marginal soundlevel as on Klappen.
Time will tell - mine Klappen is supposed to arrive Sweden next week - I will report from testdrive.

To me it definitely looks like the stock M40i exhaust system with two round dark grey pipes on the video.

The retrofit "Klappen"-exhaust is a very different system than the one on the stock M40i. Not only the outside appearance, with what looks like chromed, trapezoid tips. It is also a single pipe system unlike the stock M40i system which is a dual pipe system (through the front silencer and almost all the way to the engine).

Scandic: I can confirm the layout of the Klappen - I have installation manual - but not yet the real thing

Still, the sound of the 40i is very similar to Klappen - I believe same supplier. That could explain why they were unable to deliver my system for two months - they were busy with deliveries for the 40i.

Where do you find the drawings?

I tried myself to edit it under PaintShopPro but my skills are too low and I could not get a result as clear as yours.

There is still a difference between the sound of this car and the blue one from autobild, and I rather like the sound of the blue one. But like said Tjalle Time will tell.... patience is an hard vertue...

I read it as being a M40i prototype/preseries - why otherwise have black tape on emblems?
Sound very close to Klappen - probably same supplier.

black tape on the same side where X4 35 has its light
the m40i its suppose to have 2 - side emblems

looking at it again, it looks very large (X6) similarities
the exhaust could be Klappen too

Well In USA under the side's black tape you have the lateral turn signal. In Europe we have in place an X logo. What I just noticed (thanks to your post) is that this logo is on the m40i of the same grey color as the outside mirrors. This explain why it is taped = to not show that it is an m40i testcar.
