21" Savini wheels installed + more wheel info!
So I was on a mission to get some new wheels as I am not a fan at all of the stock 19" wheels. I decided to go with 21" wheels and use the 19's as winter wheels. I found some Savini BM14 wheels on tire rack. They suggested I go with 21x9 in the front and 21x10.5 in the rear. I wanted a square set up which would also allow me more tire choices, prices, and rotation so I went with 21x10.5 all around. This was a mistake. The front wheels once installed rubbed against the strut and 5/8mm spacers were not enough to clear. This would mean you would have to buy 10mm or more H&R spacers which I didn't really want to do and it would mean the front wheels would probably stick out past the fender further than I wanted. I returned the package and got the correct set up of 21x9 and 21x10.5, here is how they look...

Hey now! Twins!? haha. Looks good man! Have you changed out all of the gray to black (mirror caps, grill, etc)? Looks like your front boomerangs are still the gray...have you been able to get any info on getting those black? I worked with IND for awhile...actually they still have my money now that I think about it. They were waiting on these to come in stock, but I need to follow up.
I hope you had a better experience with your Savini wheels than I did through Discount Tire. Mine had little bubbles in them, then DT chipped a part while putting them on, there were a couple scratches...then they said they were ordering new wheels. Come to find out they just tried to touch it up. F me. Still working on getting that all fixed. I went with 20x9 up front and 20x10.5 in back. What offsets did you have done on yours? I also think they messed up my offsets because one of the wheels feels closer to the rear inside and I told them that I wanted enough offset so that I could put a slightly wider tire on in a few months... Needless to say it's been a major headache. |

Offsets are 30mm on front and 36mm rear. The concavity on the rear really look great I wish the front's matched...I'll take some more pics and post. |

Ah, ok. I just bought painted ones via IND. Probably way cheaper to wrap them. haha. Dang. I may end up having to just wrap the boomerangs. May be cheaper to do it that way. Nice offsets. And your rear, being the 10.5 and only 7mm further out doesn't seem super close to the suspension etc? Also, what size tires are you running on them? I am hoping to go to a wider tire too. I agree on the concavity. The rears look really nice. I wish the front matched as well, and when they arrived I had no idea they didn't match based on what I saw online. But I'm guessing the fronts can't have the concavity... |

My daughter wanted black 20's for her new Carbon Black X3. I looked into 21's but they were just much more expensive for rims/tires. Went with Voxx Lago which are a very similar design design.

I'm also looking at 20's. Hope to find wheels that match: 20x9 et12-15 20x10-10.5 et32 Likely 10's in order to put 275's on them and have a functional curb guard... |

Thanks for posting this info and pics of the wheels. It's super helpful. I ventured over from the G05 forum because I'm looking at Savini B14 wheels for my X5. How have the wheels held up so far? |

I only had them on for about 3 months before I switched over to my winter set up. They seem to be holding up well so far, time will tell.
