Good news everyone!
After about 2 1/2 years of being Bimmer-less due to some (insert colorful metaphor here) dude reaching for a donut on the floor

, we finally have another BMW X3 X-drive 28i. This time it's a 2017.
We named of first X3 "Mini Mill" (long story). The new one will be named "Mini Mill V2.0 The Sequel, This Time It's For Keeps!"
So far we've made 2 changes. 1. Activated SiriusXM. 2. Weather Tech floor liners. Today I'm going to replace the Halogen (Yes, I know I screwed up that one.) headlight bulbs with LEDs. I'll let you know how it works out.

I havent seen any LED inserts for halogens that project properly, good luck.

najnad - I was worried about that. After many hours on the net (My wife said too many.) I found a set that projects the same pattern on the garage door as the Halogens. In a few days I will right up what I did and where I found them.

Curious how they work out with your write up. A light pattern on a garage door doesn't really show if the usable light output on the road is better than the stock Halogens or is blinding to oncoming traffic.
I have stock Bi-Xenon so I'm only curious since LED technologies interests me and wanted to see what model LED you selected.

Glad you all were okay in that accident. We have a “new to us” 2017 X3 with the normal Halogen headlights. I’d be curious to see your LED light change up when you write it up. Thanks in advance.
