Tools delivery on Tuesday and the Genius chick had me setup CarPlay right away. I'm not a fan and I'd rather just use the iDrive Bluetooth features. Everything works fine except I can't get my text messages to sync. I disabled CarPlay and it still isn't working! Any suggestions?

They don't "sync". You have to turn on text message forwarding on your iPhone's bluetooth setting (re-pair it after turning off CarPlay so the option appears). Then messages you get while in car will pop up a notification in iDrive (but not anything you got before).

With coding you can enable the ability to see more of the text.
