When you order the car you should get a printout with all of the option codes etc selected for it, since the M Sport Steering wheel isn't an option in the order guide it will show the sports steering wheel. Unless you get that doc showing the M wheel I wouldn't believe it.

If you don't mind though ask for that print out, if it actually shows the M steering wheel I'll show that to my dealer. Though I think it's too late for me.

I asked and they do not have a order build that states M steering but has promised me in writing signed it will have it. They put in a proity order for my car. If it ends up coming in without it I already told him it would be a deal breaker. So either way I will be fine, but again was told my sales manager and GM it is taken care of for my vehicle. So 4 weeks and we will know! I will post the results 🙏🏻

But we will know for sure in a few weeks. Ask your dealer for a vehicle inquiry report and see If it shows the steering wheel that you want. |

Might be late on this response. Wife and I picked up X3 M40i and X5 50i and both have the M sport wheel. Both 2019's if I remember correctly dealer told me they arrived in Jan.

Team, I just purchased a new 2019 X3 M40i. It did not come with a heated steering wheel but it was an option...I have been searching forums and internet but coming out blank. Has anyone done or know where is the information for a retro fit of heated steering wheel?

I'm wondering whether your build sheet simply doesn't indicate which steering wheel you're getting. Is either 255 or 710 listed?

It is not. 710 is the steering wheel that you - and all of us - want. It is shown in the second pic in post #3 of this thread (go to page 1).
BMW has a history of not including the M Steering Wheel in the first year of production in the US market for some weird reason. The US X3 didn't get it in MY18, its first year of production, but it became available in MY19. The US X4 didn't get it in MY19, its first year of production, but it appears to be available in MY20. Fwiw, Canada and the ROW got in all years. Very odd.
