New X3 M40i UK

I went into my dealer last week to find out about my 330d which was still waiting for its EGR part and ended up buying an X3 M40i.

Pleased with the trade in price and discounts, and as it was stock, delivery will be 1st March.

X3 M40i
Carbon Black
Black Leather with blue contrast stitching
Technology Pack
MSport + pack
Folding mirrors
Extended storage
Apple car play.

More or less the spec I would have picked for a factory order, though apple car play wouldn't have been a choice and would have gone for heated steering.

All in all really pleased, the wife happy with the colour and as I'm not in the country at the moment, she has the pleasure of picking it up.

I've told her to take pics so I can post them up on here at some stage.

Congrats, nice change up from your sig I see you'll be sad to move on from Melbourne Red.

Just think of the Carbon Black as the shirt colour from the (Cantona) SHARP Viewcam era

Congratulations!!
You got the best colour ......

I went from 335d to M40i.
Fantastic engine to rev ..... Although torquey for a petrol, it needs more revs than the diesel ...... which is no hardship at all!!

Very close to my spec - you'll love it. Black/blue interior is great.

Test drove a new one at Listers Kings Lynn today in prep for the new X3M with 510BHP. It went well to be honest, sounded nice in Sport Dynamic.
The X3M should be awesome

It’ll be the first non-red car I’ve had for 20 years. 😳

Congratulations. I came from a 330d xdrive to my M40i.

No regrets all!

Due to illness, I haven't been able to drive for 5 weeks. Back in the car today - it's like getting a brand new car all over again! Love it!!!!

Great to hear that you are back in the car!

I also came from a 330d, but I couldn't resist getting the same engine. :-)

That was my first choice. But then test drove the M40i and well, smiled a lot. Also coming from the ppk I knew I would miss the oomph with the extra weight the X3 has. And mileage has dropped to about 6k a year, so diesel was less attractive this time around. But I did love my 330d in the 5 years of ownership. Not a single thing went wrong until the recall.

I didn’t realise you’re based in Norfolk! Were you parked on Yarmouth seafront last Wednesday afternoon, next to the cinema?

Congrats as well.
I will be joining the club next week when i collect a new M40i, Phytonic blue, pan roof, 20" wheels etc.
Didn't get everything i wanted but it was a stock car with most, so happy to not have to wait.
Coming from a diesel Audi Q5, (my third Audi), am so looking forward to some petrol fun! First new BM since a 3 series many years ago.
Based in South west London on the Surrey borders.

Well, it's one more sleep and delivery is tomorrow. Car all ready and waiting.

Unfortunately, I'm not able to pick it up, so my wife is going. Is it too much if I give her a list of things to do/check/ask before she drives off?

Not sure she'd listen anyway.

Just a couple of quick photos of the car this morning. I do like how the colour goes from black in low/dark light, to a rich blue under the showroom lights and sunlight.
