Having issue with BMW security code
I am trying to add my new X4 to BMW connecteddrive ( www.bmw-connecteddrive.ca) After I input my VIN number it shows that "Note: For security reasons, you need to enter a security code. This code has been sent to your vehicle. You will find it in the vehicle in the ConnectedDrive menu under Messages. The security code is valid for 4 hours only. If you cannot enter the code within 4 hours, please request a new security code at a later time."
Then I stuck here. There is no message at all. I have been trying so many times. still does not work. Does anyone have the same issue before? thanks |

It should be on notification menu in your idrive, if not call BMW Assit
|

I called them and they were able to fix it. However, I haven't been able to remotely do anything because a rep told me that they are have some technical difficulties and this was 2 weeks ago. I've tried to remotely unlock mine since January 8 and this is the message I'm still getting. [IMG][/IMG]

If you don't have a + next to the globe then you only have Bmw Connected which dont the all the other features.

I bought my last (US Spec) M3 in Germany as part of a military sales program. Everything is US spec but I had a lot of issues getting the connected drive and app to work. Had tickets in with the connected drive team etc. I finally took the car into a dealership and they didn't understand what the deal was either but when they hooked their computer up to it, it instantly fixed the issue.
Not sure why you'd be having those issues but you might want to have a dealership connect their computer to see if something was 'off'.
