TSB work for squealy "service brakes, hydraulic" under warranty?
Hello,
Newbie here with a question My 2019 X3 has been making a squealy brake noise when they are cold and when driving in reverse (only first thing in the morning and kind of annoying as it only started a few weeks ago). I was going to ask my (non-dealership) mechanic about it but then found this service bulletin that seems to talk exactly about this issue: SITUATION Brake squeak may occur with cold brakes and driving slowly or reversing. CAUSE Unfavorable tolerances of the front axle brake discs. CORRECTION Replace the front axle brake discs. https://static.nhtsa.gov/odi/tsbs/20...38072-9999.pdf Car has a little less than 29K miles under the hood. Will the dealership fix this as part of the warranty based on the TSB (no recall, though)? |

If you’re still under factory warranty then yes, it should be covered.

You can show the dealer the TSB and ask them for a good will repair. Sometimes they will do it for free depending on your relationship and history with dealer and BMWNA.
