Any issues disconnecting the battery?

I am planning on doing my sub and amp install.

Is there anything special with the X3 which would prevent me from disconnecting the battery like a normal car?

Do I need to get one of those cigarette lighter adapters to keep the memory and computer happy?

Cig adapter not needed. Pull the connector off the negative battery terminal and you are good to go.

I got the JL Audio XD600/1v2
https://www.crutchfield.com/p_13698604/JL-Audio-XD600-1v2.html

This will be powering a “take up 75% of my trunk space “ JL audio high output box with a 10w7. The amp will be replacing my old 500/1 which works fine but is too big. It’s amazing how much smaller amps got.

I’ve had this box for over a decade and it’s insane how hard and clear it hits. I love this thing.

I got the Technic PHP add a sub harness and an AudioControl LCi2 https://www.crutchfield.com/p_161LC2IB/AudioControl-LC2i-Black.html to connect it to the HK system.

I can’t figure out a great place to mount the amp (I’ve got a spare tire) so that’s my first mission. It will be going behind the trim in the hatch on the rear drivers side. Exactly where is TBD.

Here's the equipment now that I'm on my laptop.

The biggest challenge is where to mount the amp and LC2i so they are out of the way but still accessible.

It's so hot and humid today I'm debating on starting this or finish up some plumbing inside.

I've already got the harness plugged in so it's really just running wires and connecting and mounting. The tuning will likely take longer.

Amp - JL Audio XD600/1v2

Sub - JL Audio HO110R-W7
Love the red carpet but it sounds dreamy

Integration - TecnicPNP Add A Sub Harness

AudioControl LC2i
