I'm looking at a 20 square setup Niche M197 Gloss Anthracite with the following specs: 20x10.5 5x112 66.56 +40 wrapped in Toyo Proxes ST III 295/40R20 with 20mm spacers in the front and 12mm in the rear This setup keeps the diameter within the 1%.

Thoughs?

20mm is far too aggressive in the front if matched with 12 in the rear.

What size then? I'm going base on the stock fronts 31 less the suggested 12 by most here.

Need to account for the additional 12.5mm of poke you will get from the wider rim. A +40 10.5 rim with 20mm spacers is 23.5mm of poke from factory up front. In addition, you don't have much room to mess around regarding inner clearance because you are also adding 12.5mm inwards plus the additional 9mm from the offset. I would also assume you may run into rubbing issues when turning.

What size spacers do I need for this setup to work then?

I am not sure it will work. You need to measure how much suspension clearance you have and determine how close you feel comfortable moving inwards. Going with a 12mm spacer up front gives you a 16mm poke and 10mm inward push.

Do you have 12mm of clearance up front? Turn your wheel lock to lock and double check everything.

Not sure that will clear. The factory wheel doesn't have 11mm of space between it and the strut. I would bet there is 6mm or so max.

Also weren't most people on here saying you have about 12-15mm or from to go outwards and not have the tires stick out past the fenders?

From my measurements going w a 40 et front and a wider wheel tire you will rub especially lowered and d/strut clearance will be tight...

Ill post some examples of my truck and 2 wheel/tire setups I've had...

Both very aggressive with no rubbing, but def recommend mud flaps and or paint protection or narrower tires and 10-12mm spacers if you don't want quite an aggressive setup

Random question- Where are folks with custom/aftermarket wheels taking them to get tires mounted and balanced? I am not sure I trust America's Tire and such based on previous experiences with scuffed wheels.

Also, how are these shops handling the wheel weights on wheels with black barrels? Having the standard silver weight tape or blocks would be an eyesore on all black wheels.

I'm a big fan of discount tire. They put black weights on my wheels and did a great job. Not all of them carry the black weights but mine did. Also, in the spirit of this thread and those looking for aftermarket wheels, I ended up doing the following on my X3MC. No lowering springs.

Here is my cheap winter wheels... 20x9.5 Curva C300, with Continental Viking Contact 7 in 265/45/20. Heavy wheel and tire and still weighs less than the OEM setup at 64.5lbs.

Need to now just get a BMW center cap instead of the curva one.
