X3 x35i intake scoop?

Does anyone know if the one for the f30 is the same? Id like to swap out the oem little grill piece for the better flowing scoop version from afe.. it looks the same at a glance.

I've looked at those and figured they could at least be added with simple modification. GL

I have one in a box, just havent gotten around to trying to fit it...

According to AFE they dont work i guess but I dont believe anyone has actually tried. I know the part numbers are different for the actual parts on the f30 but the scoop may still work... maybe

Would you mind checking and letting me know what you figure out?
