Are you leasing, financing, or paying cash? If leasing you may want to check lease hacker for some broker connections.

The new X3 will be financed. My current car is leased with 12 remaining payments. All the time I've been leasing, I've never used leasehackr!

In this market that's not a good deal on the purchase or buy out. In normal times, leases are under water but these are not normal times. I got out of my last 2 leases early and made a lot of money. Last week I traded in my wife's 2020 X3M 8 months early and got $7,500 back from the dealer and a new 2023 X3M at MSRP and those are a lot harder to find than the regular X3s.

I didn't have much luck with truecar or Costco. A number of the dealers I spoke with opted out of those programs and it's still a sellers market.

Make sure your looking at available incentives, I didn't think I qualified for the military incentive but because my Dad was in the Army I was able to get $2k without financing through BMWFS.

Try aiming for $3k and just ask for that upfront. There is way more inventory and availability on the 30s than the 40s.

That's great! I qualify for New Grad $1k rebate which brings my sale price back to MSRP. I'll see if other dealers are able to do better.

Call around. You will find a better deal. Also, ask for no markup on financing if you are going through dealer.

Hey there. Didn't know about military incentive applying if your parent was/is a vet? Do they need to be active/current reserve, or still living? My dad passed awhile back, but he was a WWII Navy vet. Not sure if that would be recognized. If so, what sort of proof did you need to provide? Thanks for any pointers.

My dad passed away a few years ago and I was able to qualify. Check the bmw military page on how to register. You'll need some of his information to validate and it's a quick process.

Thank you. Had a feeling it was going to ask for some documentation - been too long to feasibly locate docs like separation papers, DD214, etc. Had everything else they asked for like service date, SSN, rank, etc. Ah well, was worth a try.

Check with your local va office. They may be able to pull up his service records and email them to you.

Everything points to the need to go through VA records and "mail or fax" a form. There's likely no way I'll get what I need in time to be of use. Thanks again. Interesting what you find when you do a Google search of your parent.

Anyone able to get any discounts more than 2% off on the X3 M40i this month? I contacted several DC area dealers including Passport, and they're all doing MSRP. Car brokers only doing 2% off with a $500 fee. That negates a third of the discount.

Car broker told me recently X3 30i are also hard to get. Seems like BMW is limiting X3 production while cranking out X5 40i with 9% discounts easily.

its missing the gesture control and HUD. i have 6k miles with 17 months left on lease. Sales rep claims 0 on equity, buying me out of my lease
