ton of extra stuff too. Hell harmon kardon standard weighs more than the normal stereo. bigger brakes standard, bigger wheels standard. Every single thing adds up
Every other M car manages to weigh less or about the same as their normal counterparts.
Exception M2

LMAO guys everything is normal. At the begining of the car's life cycle certain option that you want alone will have string attached to them. Those thing will slowly change as the car age throught out it's life cycle. Some of you are concern about weight lol. Who buy a suv to take to the track. The whole point of the high performance suv is the usability of the suv with some performance from the M3 or M4. Even those car aren't light weight flyers.

Standard color pallete is much nicer then the garbage one from the F8x M. I think both car look fantastic. Unfortnately the real X3 or X4 M is going to be the competition model. Just how the club sport M3 or M4 version should of been the real M3 or M4. With that said I can't wait to see you guys X3 or X4 M.

Point is more about weight compared to competition...

Why is it heavier than all competitors. almost 300 lbs heavier than Stevio Quad with same engine size.

Imagine if M3 was 300 lbs heavier than Gulia Quad! People would go nuts.

Yeah and heavier than those with turbo V8s which is bizarre. In the end though the weight is not really a concern to me but if I'm paying basically the same price as the competition I expect similar performance. We'll see how it all shakes out in test drives and instrumented tests.

If I were ordering a F97/98 I definitely wouldn't go with those M40i Vernasca leather seats that just have the ///M logo added. The fact that you can upgrade a base X3 M to the same seats as ZCP for much much less than $7k makes ZCP a no-brainer to avoid for me. The two-toned ZCP seats do look good, but I would think most people will go for Sakhir Orange seats anyway.

Wheels, exhaust, blackout trim pieces, power bump... there is a lot to like about ZCP but I agree the seats are the most important item. We also don't know if there are suspension differences but I suspect not.

Wow yep thanks for catching this. Big miss on the configurator, somebody @ BMWUSA probably copy/pasted the description from the F98 site

lol trackhawk. let's be honest who ever paid MSRP for that abomination? 100k jeep? non starter. people have been able to negotiate 15-20% off easily. even then it's still overpriced.

my only complaint with the X3/4 M is that they don't look any different from a M sport model.

Please explain to me what you get on the x3/x4 M that you dont get in the jeep? I also got mine for 25% off. I have had multiple BMWs and love BMW, but come-on you need to realize your paying a "tax" for it being a "luxury" brand. Its like buying generic vs non-generic medicine.

Just built mine in the configurator. $84,000 fully equipped. Everything except for the mobility kit (who actually orders that?). I'd rather see an individual paint option.

Also scheduled a drive in Sept during one of the M-driving experiences at my local dealership. Most likely I will hold off until 2021/2022 so BMW can sort out kinks in the first model year.

Hmm didn't notice the space saver tire was standard. It adds this weird hump to the cargo area and you lose the extra storage under the floor

Good observation. I'd rather have the extra space and ditch the extra weight of the spare. Especially since you will have roadside assistance for 3 years and run flats on all corners.

No run flats on M cars unless you put them on aftermarket. Ordering mobility kit deletes spare tire with weird cargo hump. I'll take the mobility kit with no spare personally.

Hi Transfer,

They generally come with Michelin Pilot Super Sport or newer Pilot Sport 4S. Max performance summer tires. With out run flat technology they are lighter.

Just realized the configurator states "..non run-flat tires".

Go for X3M (comp or base) without exec pack and you won't get a pano roof. Or get exec and M driver's pack and roof will be deleted from exec pack. Pano roof is standard on X4M.
