Just wanted to share this build as I’m done for now….it’s my wife’s daily. It all started with a black satin wrap and wheels, 2 years ago. Added MST intake, MRM 5inch DP, BM3 OTS, and xHP about a year after the wrap and have always enjoyed it.
Decided to go even further the past few weeks and added some more parts. Installed H&R springs and love the look and handling it brought on. Swapped stock turbo to pure850, upgraded HPFP to Dorch DS25, CTS charge pipe, and BM3 ethanol content analyzer. This really brought this already sporty SUV alive! Working through tuning now, but seems to have some pretty stable logs on E30. We’re headed to the drag strip the end of the month so I’ll be able to post some numbers along with some dragy runs soon. Everything except the tuning, I have done myself and has been a blast getting it to where it is now. I have gotten a lot of help from all the forum members and appreciate everyone sharing info along the way! I have a G80 with some mods but DME still locked for now. If this thing beats that at the end of the month (which I’m thinking it might) DME will most likely end up at FEMTO sooner than I had planned. Dumped a bunch of pics in here as well. Crazy difference in the size of stock turbo compared to the pure850 for sure. Best part about it is everything is all tucked in and cannot even tell anything’s done to it other than the intake. |

It’s very real, just replace it before you go to the drag strip and again once you get back. You can swap it without taking anything off. Home Depot 1/2inx5in does the job. At that point just hope the driveshaft doesn’t twist. This is the bolt after 2 months so it holds up pretty well

Thanks I did it with a buddy in my garage. Took way longer than what it would taken a shop to do for sure but we were pretty particular about taking everything off that we possibly could. That way you can’t see any cuts/edges. In a few years when it gets worn out or whatever I fear taking it off is going to be a nightmare because we took all the parts off instead of cutting…I will enjoy it it as long as we possibly can!

My hat's off to you bro. That's a mean looking ride, very nice build.
Have you been on a dyno yet? What kind of power is she putting down? |

Still working through some logs with tuner. Think we found that e40 is likely the sweet spot. I will get it on the track April 26th and see what it does. Also just got a dragy but haven’t had time to mess with it much yet. No dyno plans, but based on parts list and maps the tuner has seen and experienced he’s thinking it’s easily north of 500hp if not more. It pulls hard I know that! Also, turbo doesn’t fall off at all above 5k and beyond like the stock one does. Not too interested in frequent launches as it’s daily driven, but will do some here and there. Still scared to do one to be honest haha. Next up will definitely be drivetrain mods.

Working through tunes now. Will get some draggy soon. It’s like another car! I will say that the difference between tuners varies greatly! I’m currently at e30 and moving up to e50. It definitely seems faster than my G80 now. Can’t have that be a factor for very long haha. DME will be off to Femto sooner than later.

Done for now! At the limit of the injectors. Next will be manifold and nostrom injectors. Surprised by the dorche25 hpfp and its ability to outflow the stock injectors with room for more. Turned out better than I thought. I will get some dragy runs this weekend. First flex tune was not great, but after getting with someone else it was night and day difference. Timing is clean around 14 degrees right at 30lbs of boost on e50. Running great and cannot complain! Thanks to AshtonPJT
