Still dislike the integration of the trim on the center dash. It looks like an after thought, doesn't blend with the aluminum and sensatec

These designs do not make any sense to me. The entire LCI is a mismatch of ideas and concepts almost to the point where it was done just for change sake. I just do not understand all the sharp angles like the rear bumper - it's a mess.

Definitely not an improvement over the LCI. The interior is a win though.

So the new 40i models no longer have cerium gray but chrome? That's not acceptable.

I dont get why BMW is putting the start button right in the middle of everything people use all the time. I use the camera button and drive mode button pretty much everyday. I always thought that BMW had the best user interface but that has ended for me.

Pre LCI definitely looks better. The lower front bumper looks way too busy on the M sport models and whatever they did to the front grills makes the car look less aggressive.

Not only the mirrors. The M40i also has the M double-slatted grille and an M badge on the grille. The M guys are going to get pissed off all over again.

Agreed, M40i may start $1200 more than the 2021, but that's a $700 package already included now.

Why would they discontinue a model they just introduced? Bizarre. Also the press shots are clearly of a 30e

Reading the bmw press release the 30e is definitely not listed.. I wonder what this does to the value of those of us who own one...

That's kind of weird. The pictures included in the promotion of the LCI are based on the PHEV model. Nonetheless is not mentioned in the press release. Maybe it was discontinued for the US Market?
