I think you're correct. I'll get confirmation from my dealer friend and let you know.

Garage List
2024 BMW X5 M60i  [10.00]
Nice to see they added a red interior choice on the X3 finally. Too bad it isn't in Vernasca leather though.

Also interesting to see they dropped Glacier Silver from the lineup.

Will be interesting if there's any component restrictions that are present, as they show HK Audio and Driving Assistance Pro available across the line (which isn't the case with the 2021 currently).

Also, not listed in the DAP is ACC w/ Stop & Go?

Ambient lighting is standard :-)

I still don't understand what's actually in the Shadowline Package (ZHO). I think the Shadowline Lights darkens the chrome inside the headlight cluster, but what does Extended Shadowline trim do? On the 2021 configurator, it blackens the grille and foglight "flair", mirror caps, and front fender vent. Aren't all of those already blacked out on the 2022 M40i?

I think the offering is there - but the question is if they'll actually be able to deliver on it, or if they will not have that available when actual ordering opens.

Perhaps one of the folks with info on restrictions can post what they know about how that will be.

The original press release mentioned it explicitly. Perhaps the ordering guide is just too terse?

What are people's thoughts on the M sport differential? I'm putting together possible configurations for my order and not sure if the $1300 is worth it. I do a fair amount of highway driving and can sometimes be a bit aggressive, but otherwise I'm a fairly standard commuter.

Also what are the advantages of having the sensatec dash as opposed to the standard?

It'd be a pain to have to shift the thing into Sport all the time.
For the G05 X5 we had to wait for bimmercode to be updated for the option to disable ASS entirely. Pretty sure bimmercode will need to be updated again to support the G01. We had to wait a few months but may well be a quicker release for the G01. Note there won't be a ASS memory function, it's either all or nothing with mild hybrids. To turn it back on you need to code it.
Thanks.

Are you saying that with the 48V system on your B58 once coded off, ASS is off even in EcoPro?

That would be very interesting.

I struggle with that decision as well, this should help:

I have the diff on the build that I’m putting together, but that’s less because I think I’m going to track it (that would be silly) and more because I’m already building a sporty(ish? I hope) car. Might as well add the toys. :-)

I am not spec’ing the SensaTec dash (though I noticed that it was listed as standard for 2021)

I confirmed that I will receive a copy tomorrow and will post it. Will be interesting to see any differences between the X3 and X4.

Nothing concrete yet. Dealers are waiting on allocations before ordering opens. Production begins mid-August, so I would imagine October would be the first deliveries.

Here's a question that I don't think I've seen asked or answered yet.

Was anyone actually at the BMW announcement of the LCI X3 & X4? Every search result I've seen is either a verbatim copy of the press release or a mildly reworded version that's heavy on quotes from the original. There don't seem to be any photos other than those officially released - at least that I've seen.

New Order

Hi
I’m new to this forum.
Just order M40i in the uk (2022 model), it seems well specd up with everything. The only option I made was panoramic roof. Is there anything I’m missing?
Any help would be great

There would not have been an announcement "event" to attend. Unless it's a major release of some sort, most new or updated models are introduced via a press release bundled with pictures and ancillary data sheets. That's why the media all sounds the same. They're simply parroting the same manufacturer-produced information.

UCMikeyG99: Thanks for the follow up on the X4 Order Guide. If your person could tell you if the X4M Guide exists yet - that would be great. Currently have M40i (2019) - lease up soon - great car - just don't know if I want to move up to X4M. But I highly recommend the M40i!! Previous cars were the M- B C43 (AMG) coupe - and Audi S5 coupe 6MT (need 4 door for grand kids) . The M40i puts both to shame in handling and pick-up - plus more fun.
