Oh, sometimes the passenger mirror doesn't fold down to assist when reversing. It's a nice feature to help with the curb bumps.
Not sure if this may be part of your issue, but if you sometimes have a partner who drives your car and adjusted your mirrors, if they leave the selector in the position to adjust the passenger side mirror the mirror will not tint down. The selector needs to be left in the position to adjust the driver side mirror.

Need to submerge the whole vehicle in WD40...

It is annoying my current pet hate is the passenger seatbelt (male-end) clip hopping off the hard trim on the door pillar when I'm travelling alone....

Thanks. Will have to check this. I think I had it set to the passenger side.

Yea, this is annoying. I was test driving one the other day and heard this rattle and could not figure out what it was until I got back to the dealership.

My 18 M40i had the GPS antenna fail (would say I was driving in the middle of the ocean hundreds of miles off shore) and since getting that fixed the dome light rattled on the highway. One day I just punched it and the rattling stopped and never came back.

I'm not usually one for percussive maintenance but in that case it worked.

My 21 seems to have been cheapened in several areas compared to the 18, so that's a bit annoying. Will probably write up a full review at some point and highlight them.

The brake dust from m-sport brakes. every few hundred miles they need to be cleaned.

The fact that it defaults to comfort every time

No A.S.S. disable except for coding. At least they could have it remember last from the factory!

The fact that the passenger side mirror is not auto dimming

No phone remote start from the app

Extremely random, but if you are driving at high speeds with all the windows down, the center seatbelt in the backseat flaps like crazy, sounds like a machine gun:

- No email read-out in i-drive 7
- No warm / cool air adjuster wheel on centre air vents like in every other BMW I have ever owned (!)
- No Auto-start-stop memory like in my 640i Gran Coupe
- Needs fat rear wheels and flares like an X5 (previous car)

Otherwise it's lovely (!!)

It is not easily displayed . Our Mercedes and toyota both have the o dometer displayed in the dash screen, with MPG, distance and avg speed. Not so easily found in this car.

If it's letting too much heat in you can get it tinted. The new tints these days (ceramic?) reject a ton of heat while still letting a lot of light through.

Do you mean the odometer that shows the total mileage done by the car? If so, doesn't pressing the top button on the edge of the left hand stalk bring up the odometer on the instrument panel?

Agree about the wheels and fenders! At least if the stock 21 inch wheels were more flush with the body that would have been good. Just makes the body look a little dorky (esp as it already looks too narrow and too tall, and the glass area is a little too big)....but yes, I did buy it anyway.

Auto start stop memory can be set through Bimmercode.

I actually don't miss the air blend knob. Had it on previous BMWs and found I set it to the middle most times anyway. IIRC you can set this electronically now through the AC menu?

That you can't have Start Stop enabled in combination with the 'softest' SPORT individual setting (e.g. everything on Comfort barring Engine)

Yes. Also every time you open the driver's door.

ASS will be a whole new animal with the LCI. Mild hybrid will change a lot. Hope Bimmercode will find a way to control it.

I garage my X3 every night I'm home
As my garage has 2 single doors I have to switch the parking sensors off at least 3 times before it goes in the garage
Drives me ******* nuts!

On my last car, an Audi as it happens, you switch the parking sensors off once & they stay off

Not a hate, but more of an annoyance. The wireless charging tray in our 2020 X5 keeps my phone from moving around as it has a little well. My X3 has no well and my phone slides around especially when driving spirited. Maybe I am just having too much fun!
