Is there finally a tracking available in Europe apart from contacting the dealer? I have received my VIN from the dealer and he said its waiting for shipment , but would like to personally track it :-)

my order is from BMW Poland.

I never really found out when it got loaded in the US, but from production to arrival in Bremerhaven took about 3 weeks.

My order was placed in April and production was on June 3rd..

In fact they told me July was production date and sudden email that it was already produced due to an open slot.

Seems like we ordered cars nearly same time. How did you managed to get the ship info? Normally I would not stress about the delivery time but looking at the planned vacations and possibility of driving accross the country in renault clio makes me slightly worried... btw I've ordered x4 but I'm not sure where in the US they are produced...

sadly my account is not yet fully activated to be able to send PM's. My dealer is on holiday so I can't get the carrier details, seems like I will need to wait once he is back...

Thanks, the only thing I know is that car is on ship since 23rd. If by any chance you could approch me via email (daniels81xxxx) that would be awesome (hopefully I'm not breaking any rules...)

I’ve been in contact via chat with BMW UK this morning for a status update on my X3 M40i build and I’ve been told it is currently in production for a week beginning 13th September dealer delivery! Can’t wait. Visited the dealers yesterday to see a car (440i) in Brooklyn grey for the first time. Thankfully we love the colour in the flesh. As I knew it would be, it’s much much lighter than the configurator. The metallic is very subtle and it has a pale blue hue to it. If you look at it very close up it’s almost a dark silver. But it looks amazing with the black trim and tinted rear glass. I will replace all the chrome badges with gloss black which I think will finish it off.

Just ordered an LCI M40D in the same colour. Took 4 weeks to get the order through my local BMW dealership due to staff shortages. Anyway, I am interested how long it took from order place to getting a VIN number with which to track it. I have Contract No and a order no.

Also how are you going to replace the chrome badges with black ones? Very interested in this.

Timing is all over the place at present, with some talking for 5 month+ lead times.

You can track it via BMW UK website live chat using your order number. The BMW Genius will confirm status, ask for the status number.

Are those not the old status codes? Think UK now on the 3 digit ones used in US and elsewhere.
