Comfort access locking
Is there some trick or secret handshake you're supposed to do with the handle to get it to lock with Comfort Access?? I often have to fumble around with the three ridges more than a teen on prom night to get it to work…

Use your finger only, any contact with the door handle will try to unlock and lock at the same time. The 3 ridges are it’s G spot.

If you always use the driver's door and have problems with that, maybe the driver's door handle is faulty in some way. Have you tried the other three door handles? Do you have the same problem locking with those? |

I have the same issue and have it with both the front and rear drivers-side doors.
The sensor is picking up my finger as I hear a "Click" from the doors and the fuel door, but the doors don't lock. Usually repeated attempts will provide success, but other times I just use the fob. Next service visit I'll see what they can come up with. Like I said, it's picking up my finger on the three ridges. Just not locking the doors.

I find the exact same issue. Unlocking works every time with just a reach from the hand, but locking engages the mechanism to make a noise but doesn’t actually lock.
I’ve deduced the way to make it lock every time is to use my thumb on the three ridges (no need to hold a few seconds, the thumb does it immediately… So basically, unlocking works by just opening the door with any part of the hand - whilst locking works by using my thumb. This made me think it was maybe by design, as if you had the mechanism locking/unlocking whenever your hand touched the handle, it’d be a bit of a nightmare for accidentally locking the car when your just opening other doors to put things in the car etc? So it’ll unlock with just a touch with any part of the hand, but to lock needs a more definitive contact with a fleshy thumb? |
