Hi they actually come of pretty simple by hand, you do need to help the double sided tape a bit and probably replace that with new tape. I actually in the end also removed the black plastic underneath as I wanted to see how that would look, but no need to do that if you just want to paint the frozen bits. Think it makes the car more modern and sporty without all chrome on the sides, on the front I only did the below chrome strip, left the frozen bits as on the back.

Very nice project! Do you know a place to get a different grill for this model. I've seen a lot for the facelift ix3 but not the pre facelift. I have a pre facelift ix3 from 2021
