So you never encounter a situation where you downshift into second approaching a 90° corner at an intersection, see the road ahead of you is clear exiting the corner, and goose it a little leaving the corner?

Because for me that is a very common situation.

If I’m goosing it I hold the pedal to the floor. Not 70% causing a high torque low throttle angle situation. I have never experienced anything your talking about literally ever in any of the multiple bmws if owned. Only time I feel bucking is when the plugs are shot and the high boost high tq at low rpm cause spark blow out.

Sounds like a misfire to me. 100% all the time is words I never said. If your going to accelerate you don’t lug the engine. It’s terrible for it. There’s a reason the kick down is so sensitive in sport and sport +.

A misfire would definitely be throwing a code and probably a CEL, though. Right?

It could take as many as 1000 cycles to throw the cel.

1) I was being dramatic by saying 100%, not literal so i guess guilty as charged.
2) Have felt many a misfire for many different reasons, this is not that.
3) If you felt this you'd agree with #2
4) Why some are feeling it and some aren't i think is the big question? I'm tuned MHD, does it do it on BM3/Stock?
5) It's not a major concern but it is there. When i have some time to blow i'm gonna try and catch it on a log and if i do, i'll post the result.

I’m was on BM3 ots multi stage 2, now ABP custom flex fuel tune. Plugs were gapped to 21 as per tuner.

Having experienced what OP is talking about on several occasions, I boiled it down to pedal input in a very sensitive part of the torque band. Since I’ve been made aware of it, it doesn’t happen anymore.
