Hidden/OEM look dashcams

Anyone using one of the hidden/OEM look dashcams such as these ?

https://www.kammu.com/shop/dash-cam/...080p-g-sensor/

https://www.amazon.com/CYHY-2010-201.../dp/B07CJ82YJ1

Looking to get a dashcam and would prefer it to be as hidden as possible.

interesting ?
Im using a rexing which is more visible. The one you show does look interesting. If you go for it, let us know & see how good it works also.
I would change for that hidden look.
Price is decent too.

Interesting design. I wouldn’t buy one though as I prefer a camera that can fit discreetly into any car. Currently my Blackvue does that job very very. Will eventually buy a front and rear camera combo.

The 650S.

That’s a poor example. The way I have fitted my Blackvue into my car, neither the camera nor any cables are visible from the drivers seat.

What ever fitted it, ya moved it an inch here or there??? fitted? nice wires, and it can still be seen ?
The guy just showed an alternative that is more integrated, NO WIRES, NO stickey on window.
If yours is the premium install on earth . . . . Glad to hear it rolls you pants up......
In the land of milk and honey, some people may like yours, and some may like the other one.

It depends on the user, as you say. Some people actually want the dashcam to be seen by other road users, so that they are aware they are being filmed, rather than going completely stealth.

A good alternative is the Viofo a119, as you can hide the cable (if using the gps module), the unit is compact, but only slightly visible from the outside.

With the unit that the OP is showing, I wouldn't want something hanging out my OBD 24/7.

Now that depends on what type of dash cam you are using. Do you want it to record when you are parked up?

In my situation, I wish my dash cam to record when my car is sitting in a car park, or on the street as well as in normal driving. I use the QVIA AR970 front and back cameras that can be configured to run for various hours when the ignition is OFF. To be able to achieve this the Dash Cam needs to be connected up to a permanent live feed. Fuse 58 is one such feed.
I am never away from the vehicle for more than 6 hours, so in the software the cameras are configured to switch OFF after 6 hours. Also to prevent the dreaded BMW low battery warning I have configured it to switch OFF when the car voltage drops below a predetermined level. This facility works well, and after carrying out much testing, I never receive any warnings.

well I used the #54, which is the 12V outlet near the cup holder.

I like it very much like that since it starts the cam at the door unlock, and stop it few minutes after the car has been locked.
