Phone charging tray not working right

Has anyone issues with charging the phone?

I have iPhone 11pro max and even dough I have skinny carbon fiber cover it doesn't want to charge at all. Worked perfecting in mine GO5 all the time.

Tried without cover also nothing

Placed different phone - IPhone X with cover.... nothing
Placed iPhone X without cover it works fine. Lol

Hah I have complained about this for 6 months. It plain sucks. They updated the software and it works better but not reliable. Mine turns red every so often so I just use a cord. FYI it works perfectly on the M8.

Miko, I’m using the Apple leather case and it charges through it. No problems at all.

No problem. I had mine since the end of June now 16000 miles. Break in service was 3 weeks after I got it

There’s a setting to turn it on/off. Maybe yours is switched off?

I’ve never had an issue with my iPhone Xs or XI Pro Max.

16K already.... you will be the first one to report any problems or hiccups with this new engine. Hope it's solid. Previous S55 had crank hub problem mainly after tuning

Xs here. It charges, but slowly, & the phone gets hot on the charging base sometimes. That can't be good, can it?

I find it charges best with the phone centered & bottom of the phone facing the left hand side, but it’s still finicky. That is with the apple backup battery case installed.
The F90 has a better charging tray from my experience. Overall still a slow charge.

I've got an iPhone 11 Pro and it's in the Apple leather case and charges every time regardless of direction on the charger.

Had this recently (same phone) and the solution oddly was to reboot phone. Hasn't been a problem since IIRC

I have same phone in a skinny case and it charges all the time. I just make sure it is sitting nicely on the rubber part and have no issues. Been fine since November.

The only setting I see in iDrive is to turn off the warning you left your phone in the tray (which is awesome btw).

Charges verrrry slow. The phone gets hot and slows down performance (of the phone, not the car)

Mine doesn't charge at all even without case ( iPhone 11 )

Phone is fine because I charged it on mine X5 and at home.

When I do mine break in service I will see if they can look into it.
