You can always sell it back here, as a few have missed out.

I think these grills are more suited to the 20i/30i or 20d/30d m sport owners, it will blend with gloss black boomerangs (or lack of) and gloss black fender grills.

I had them on my Black Sapphire M235i - they worked well as the colour is similar. Against "blue" carbon black, I'm not so sure.

Agreed. I like the look of the black ones on the blue, and other colors too....but the Cerium accents do look best on Phytonic Blue and Black Sapphire.

Agree! I think it looks nice but I won't do it on my own blue M40i. It does feel bigger vs Cerium grey, and draws too much attention vs the car as a whole.

I think the black grill will look awesome on White and silver X3 though...

I noticed that the x7 and x5 that are displayed at the dealerships here in Europe have a chrome and aluminium grill. Also the 20i/30i with M sport packages. So i replaced my standard grill from the M package (20i) with the X-line grill.

Well, did they fit? I stopped by my local BMW parts counter, and apparently the shopbmwusa.com parts: https://www.shopbmwusa.com/PRINT/4753 don't fit the 2019 X3 M40i because of some kind of connection to the active shutters. Different part numbers than the getbmwparts.com link. Any ideas?

Has anyone installed the double slat grills on the X3? Are their fitment issues due to the active grills? If not how do they look with the active grills behind them?

I've installed the black double slat grilles. No issues with fitment nor will it interfere with active grills because that component is behind the grille. It is not attached

I disagree. The M40i has black trim on the roof rails, window frames and parts of the bumper are in gloss black. The cerium bits such as the boomerang, side vents and badges adds a good contrast which also match up with the 21" wheels.

Im kinda with you on this, The black grill is usually one of the first mods I do and since I own an xdrive30i without really any shiny black trim anywhere im debating not doing this or just doing it like another forum member did here :

Cant remember the forum member but this matches the xdrive30i perfect IMHO

I just ordered the black gloss grills. I'm so excited to get them and attempt to install them myself.

Edit: I have a 2020 M40i in dark grey (Not sure of the official name)
