Hmm I actually want to go the other way. I have a 30i M-Sport in carbon black. I'm not a big fan of the chrome outer ring and black slats

However, I think the all cerium grill looks amazing with carbon black. Considering to swap those in instead

How hard is to retrofit car with black kidneys?
Is it about disassembling whole front bumper?

Fitted.

You don't have to touch the bumper. 3 tabs on top get pushed in and you work it out.

You wont even need to change the side mirrors as I surmised earlier. Looks good

I just got mine today as well......man, these things are MASSIVE!!!! LOL.

Wow nice. They cancelled my order as they had sold out and said they could not provide a time frame that they would be back in stock. Fingers crossed they'll get more soon.

I'd love to see those on a Glacier Silver before I commit to a purchase. I think they look great on the darker exterior colors, but I'm unsure about lighter.

I have Glacier Silver. I wil post when my car arrives - approx. December 8th.

My current BMWs both have OEM Black grills (replaced at the dealership before I took delivery on both of them). I dont like the BMW stock grille surround (the chrome surround) around the kidneys.

In the case of the M40i though, I actually really like the grey kidneys since they dont have a bright !#@$!@$ chrome surround around the dark kidneys.

Wife and I both decided we like the grey kidneys especially since the mirror caps etc are matching. Really appreciate you guys posting pics of the replacement (and happy that its on the blue, which is the same color we are getting). We saw the pics above and both decided that, at least on the blue, we like the "stock" grey ones that come on the M40 rather than me needing to have them replaced.

Agreed. I like the look of the black ones on the blue, and other colors too....but the Cerium accents do look best on Phytonic Blue and Black Sapphire.

I think these grills look out of place on the M40 if you are just replacing the kidneys. Need to replace the other Cerium bits as well, but there are too many.

The Boomerangs, Fender grill, Mirror caps, 21" 718 Wheels... even the badges are Cerium

According to my dealer they were out of stock in Germany until yesterday, so I’ll check again today. I can get them in the UK for £50 per side, exc VAT.

Yeah I'm not sure about them now, having second thoughts! They seem to look bigger than the Cerium ones!

I've got carbon black but don't think they would suit. Happy to be proved wrong but I won't be taking the plunge anytime soon.
