I've shamelessly copied Comber's ambient light setup..the Red/Cyan combo looks lovely at night and matches well with the rest of the interior lighting, I've knocked the brightness down to 50% and unchecked the dim at night setting..

The only thing is..The OCD part of me wishes that that idrive showed the colours that you had coded and not the Default Bronze/Bronze.

Mine is Red/Blue, but that one looks nice too. If some day I decide to use Alpina cluster then I'll try Green/Blue to match Alpina colors...

Yes... Sport mode is fine but Comfort/Adaptive I find it like if it was a game... and also numbers are less sharp in all Alpina modes.

The numbers on the Alpina dials do look a little less sharp, glad you've said so too and its not my dodgy eyesight..

Looks good but not my taste. I prefer the red and blue combo

And if so, do you have to code Video via USB in two different modules?

HU_NBT_EVO and HU_MGU

Would that mean I could watch the car while, for example, engine is off, or engine is on but in Park?

thanks

Found that video from USB already works on mine (not in motion though).

Hi all, I have been making some research, because I still find interesting how to activate M HUD, and I have found this in a French forum that works on MINI:

Activer le HUD JCW (Activate JCW HUD)

HU_NBT
3000_HMI
HUD_SPORTANZEIGE_ENABLE
HUD_SPORTANZEIGE_FES_ENABLE
HUD_SPORTANZEIGE_MS_GASSE_ENABLE

KOMBI
FZG_Aussttang
HUD_SPORTANZEIGE_ENABLE
HUD_SPORTANZEIGE_FES_ENABLE
HUD_SPORTANZEIGE_MS_GASSE_ENABLE
HUD_FAHRSTUFE_ENABLE // Pas obligatoire , c'est l'affichage du rapport engagé.

I have seen pictures and effectively works.

I can't try now, but I post this just in case some one has time to try it in our cars, because I have seen here that someone posted the first half of parameters, but not the second half, so maybe that's the key.

By the way, these seem to be codes for Turn signals:

Ajouter les clignotants dans le HUD (Activate turns signals in HUD)

KOMBI
3008
HUD_PIA_BLINKER
3000
BLINKER_HUD_ENABLE

HU_NBT
3001
HUD_TURNSIGNAL

Is there a list that has been established and translated of all the options that can be coded using the expert mode?

I tried as well and no change that I could see.

I flipped a whole bunch of other settings and still no change that I could see!

3007 PIA_ units PIA_HUD_M_SPORT
3007 PIA_ units PIA_HUD_M_SPORT_PORTIERUNG
3007 PIA_ units PIA_HUD_MVIEW_NAVIGATION
3007 PIA_ units PIA_HUD_MVIEW_NAVIGATION_PORTIERUNG
3007 PIA_ units PIA_HUD_MVIEW_SLI_NPI
3007 PIA_ units PIA_HUD_MVIEW_SLI_NPI_PORTIERUNG
3007 PIA_ units PIA_HUD_NAVI
3007 PIA_ units PIA_HUD_SPORT_MODE
3007 PIA_ units PIA_HUD_SPORT_MODE_FES_SPORT
3007 PIA_ units PIA_HUD_SPORT_MODE_FES_SPORT_PORTIERUNG
3007 PIA_ units PIA_HUD_SPORT_MODE_PORTIERUNG
3007 PIA_ units PIA_HUD_SPORT_MODE_S_M_GASSE
3007 PIA_ units PIA_HUD_SPORT_MODE_S_M_GASSE_PORTIERUNG
3007 PIA_ units PIA_KI_2_M_GESCHWINDIGKEIT_PORTIERUNG

After making all these changes I have come to the realization that I have made SO MANY changes to my settings that have no effect that eventually the "a million monkeys typing on a million typewriters" theory will come true and I will get an added feature and have NO idea how to recreate it!

Nope. None published at this point.

I suggest that you go through all the posts in the thread and create one. The peanut gallery can then chime in to confirm that each of them works!

Thank you for the update. In the Mini I think it works only when selecting Sport mode, but I guess you've already tried all combinations possible.

I was thinking of compiling a spreadsheet and research/translate each section of expert mode. However to get the completed list and sublist I'd have to be connected to the car. So this may take a while.
