I assume you have to remove the steering wheel to install those?

That's right but install is fairly straightforward

Not the steering wheel, just the airbag. There's slits on both sides underneath. Just insert a thin screwdriver or something and find the spring that releases it. Once it's released it will pop out slightly. Have to do each side. There's a M5 write up on here somewhere with pics that was helpful.

I'm cheap so I went with the red carbon ones off eBay. They were like $105 and took 2 months to get here. I had to reseat the part that connects to the shifter mechanism with some epoxy so if you go this route beware that you will likely have to do that. Looks badass IMO tho.

I'd love to add some M Performance parts but I just can't swallow the prices. Most parts are nearly double what they are for the F80.

We wish! BMW parts have small margins for us but as enthusiasts we like grabbing the newest parts.

BMW sets the retail pricing all on their parts.

Ok, so not your margin, but BMW's nutty margin. Either way, crazy profits!

Just ordered a set through my dealer. On their way from Germany. Will see how they look on the M Performance wheel on my M40i. I've always wanted a little more real estate on the paddle but never wanted to go aftermarket.

I really want these but that price is just silly. Do we know if that is MSRP for these flippers?

Link? I think these are different and stubby carbon.
