Speed Limit Info

I'm going to buy an FSC code to enable SLI.

Does anyone know what values need FDL coded? Am I right in saying that you can't VO code 8TH on the G01 platform?

I'm interested in this also. Where did you get your FSC code from if you don't mind me asking?

This guy is the cheapest I've found so far. €195 is what he's charging.

You need ISTA+ as well as E-sys if doing it yourself.

Can't see why you'd need ISTA+. You can inject an FSC with esys as well as FDL code (and VO code if 8TH can be VO coded on the G01 platform).

It's to calibrate it I was told. Watched him do it.

Is this possible to add via coding if the car was not originally equipped with SLI? If so, is there anything else needed?

My online handbook and in car manual (via I drive) infers I have the Speed Limit function but never seen any sign of it operating.
Can't find any config settings in Idrive - am I missing something?

FSC = Freischaltcode which translated is "Registration Key"

An FSC is essentially an Activation Key & Certificate required for features that can only be enabled with a valid key, such as the camera-based safety systems and Navigation, to just name a few.

Thanks Tim. Are you able to code the speed limit information to a vehicle that didn't come with it?

In the case of the G01 X3, it would need to be equipped with the KAFAS camera (Windshield-Mounted Safety System Camera for Blind Spot Warning, Lane Departure) in order for it to detect speed signs.

Therefore it would still need an FSC ordered and loaded into the KAFAS module, before it can be coded for it to work.

Thanks. Is it possible to toggle on / off the SLI (red circle with speed limit) on the instrument cluster after coding SLI?
