"NO SIGNAL" message

Today after the X3 was parked for a couple hours, when I started the engine, the infotainment screen was all dark except for the message "NO SIGNAL".
Even after turning the engine off and waiting a bit, upon restart the message was still there. Nothing connected through the infotainment worked. Even the speed limit in the HUD was just a blank sign. Yet the actual vehicle speed did display in the HUD.

About 10 minutes later, first the radio sound came back on, then the info screen turned on and showed the navigation map and apps loading. It then operated fine for the remainder of the trip back home.

Hopefully it's a one time glitch, but I thought I would mention it.

If you didn't, next time take at least a photo (video would be better), in case you want to take it to the dealer - to have some proof, that it actually happened.
Didn't happen to me though.

As an IT guy, I recon the system just went through a reboot..
1 by 1 the services became available again.

The question is why?
Software does strange things..
If it's only this one time, consider it an incident..
If it happens again, back to the dealah...

Received my VIN and was just starting to read the manual...
When I read about the Controle Display turning off when exposed to extreme heat..

Did you park in the direct sun or sunbeams?
Apparently the Controle Display will turn itself off, because of the heat, and will turn on again when temperature is decreased..

Would explain the No Signal right?

Vehicle was parked with the rear facing the sun. So no, the sun wasn't shining on the screen.
