Yes shows they have the ability to do it. But those on the BMW Board must be so risk adverse that anything that is for public production has to the designed to meet some pretty boring criteria. Can't think of anything in the current line up that progresses design

led bars look very similar to the lc coupe. it's boring. bmw used to have unique and impressive designs, but there hasn't been a single groundbreaking change in their design language for nearly a decade and the models look stale.

Why not delete the rear windscreen altogether. It does nothing for visibility.

Does anyone know why the new X3 and X4 have metallic silver side mirrors caps, regardless of the color SAV. It looks absolutely stupid! It should be the same color of the vehicle or my preference carbon fiber.

Audi and Volvo do this too with their sport designs, probably a few other manufacturers as well. Audi was the first I think.

Yes someone else mentioned that other manufacturers are doing the same trendy thing, to be quite honest I could care less what they do. I care about the brand that I like and what they're producing, the brand that use to set trends and not follow them. Bodied colored mirrors shouldn't have to be an option, silver caps should be, it makes no sense and looks cheap or worse yet a production mistake.

Another thing is how the heck do you take these caps off without breaking the mirror with their internal electronics.
