My set was left in the plastic bag, in the boot when I pick up the car.
It is now in the basement.

They look nice and shall be comfortable, so some people possibly like them (specially for their look compared to rubberized winter ones). On the other hand they're not as practical as winter ones as they get dirty quite easily and are way harder to clean.

Phytonic Blue... is just too beautiful! Congrats on the car!

Nice! I'm just curious, if you don't mind... how much was the fob replacement?
Did you get a speeding ticket? :P
The key fob is actually 2 pieces. The fob being one and the key insert being the second part. I call around and everyone quoted me 575$ for the entire key plus 169$ for programming plus tax. In Quebec that came out to 855$. I pleaded with the deselect I bought my car at and they charged me 490$ for the key and 120$ for the programming. So 701$. Not sure if you recall but I had an issue with the d'étaler about the weather tech mats. They owed me 300$ so net I paid 400$.

I did get a ticket of 170$ not for speeding but for being in a lane that was restricted between certain hours. So that ate any savings

I did not like the dealer mats. They looked nice with the X3 logo but protection was not there. Ordered the front back and truck lines off weather teck for 500$ tax and shipping included. Was expensive but happy.

Yeah, that key issue was pretty expensive.
Sorry for hearing that the ticket ate the savings you got. I guess it might be a lesson learned to be extra careful with the fobs (and also it sends a message to all of us to take care of the keys). I still suggest the tile tags for your keys if you have a problem remembering where they're. :P

The original BMW winter mats look nice but, indeed, they don't protect so well (not bad, but not so good either). That's why although I got them from the dealer, I decided to buy the 3D Maxpider ones and they're awesome, I definitely recommend them. However, I think you paid a bit too much. The mats for front and rear seats (no cargo) should be found for around $260 (CAD...) + shipping if I recall it right. The competitor, Weathertech, sells front+rear seats mats for around the same value.
If the price you paid also includes the cargo/trunk mat, then it seems ok, not so bad.

Bought them directly off weather teck and it was for front, back and trunk. So everything tax in and shipped. I have been looking to see if they put them on sale but I never saw any. 500$ seems to be the going rate.

Any yeah spent 100$ to get 4 of the most recent pro tiles. The loudest and biggest range. Highly recommend.

So, as it's including the trunk mat it's not bad, it's the average price.

Nice that you got the tiles! They seem to work really well but I hope you never need them!

Mounting 407 Transponder

For members in GTA area, where do you mount your 407 Transponder?
I have my car for 3 weeks now and only mounted it today, as I want to do it AFTER dashcam installation.

What I notice is, G01 rear-view mirror / connected drive have very big footprint on windshield already. So it is not easy to find good spot to mount both Dashcam AND 407 transponder.

Today, I mount it BEHIND the iDrive screen. Good thing is you can't see it at all when you are inside, and not notice it much from outside either because of colour

I think is better than mount it on windshield. Plus since the transponder actually sitting on the dash, only need little double sided tape to hold it inplace, so it doesn't move around. No need to use those strong mounting tape.

Here is some picture.

I don't drive the 407 very often, so for occasional use, I ordered a suction cup holder for the transponder. I just stick it on the windshield when needed and otherwise it sits in the glove box.

Still waiting on BMW Canada to see what the dealer will do for me. They are still trying to resolve the error the dealer made with the in service date. 🤡

Towing with my X3 3.0

Towing with my X3 3.0 , does some of you have done it?
I'm towing either a trailer of my 18 foot boat, about 3000 pounds. It drives better in sport + mode as the transmission doesn't shift up more then the 6th gear, makes it easier to pull.

Freight is possibly the most expensive element on these fees, but the anti theft thing looks like unnecessary. When I negotiated my 30i nobody ever mentioned any anti theft device. I would suggest double-checking it.
You know I never questioned the anti theft fee of 189$ as all dealers I went charged it. Anyone know what the hell that is? It's not VIN etching because I was offered that and declined.
I asked the dealer. He said that it for a metal piece they hide in the vehicle. If the car is stolen BMW can track it. If the thief finds it then will will give me a reduction of 5,000$ off the price of another. Seems useless especially if I have replacement value with the insurance. I should of inquired before signing
They had this at my dealer as well except it was $299 USD. I declined it. Useless

Hey guys! I'm getting my 2019 X3 tomorrow! I'm currently shopping for good floor mats but only for the front 2 seats (we rarely use the back seats).

I saw you guys mention the 3D Maxpider ones. Could anyone of you with them post 1 or 2 pictures of how they look like in your car?

Also, does this seems to be the best deal for them? Thanks!

Congrats on the new X3!

I bought the entire set (including for the back seats) at parts engine -- https://www.partsengine.ca/u-guard-3...k-p-54811.aspx -- and I totally recommend the store AND the mats. I got the original/OEM rubber mats from BMW but the 3D Maxpider ones are better in my opinion. They look as nice as the OEM ones but their coverage and fit are better. The lifted edges are just amazing.

I don't have photos right now and I'm not sure I can take photos today, but I definitely recommend theses mats.

You convinced me, I'm ordering a full set back/front/cargo .

Haha! I hope you enjoy them!
I didn't buy the cargo one because I already have the OEM one, which works quite OK on the trunk, but I still consider buying the 3D Maxpider cargo mat in the future as it looks better and might fit better too (like the front seats), as the OEM slides around quite easily.

Quick question: Does all the 2019 X3 3.0 have the iDrive version 6?

Only the 2020 will have the newest iDrive 7?

Hey let me know how the cargo mat fits with the rails in the back. I have the BMW one and the velcro stick-ons suck and my cover moves all over the place. Looking for something that fits well and won't move/slide. Also, can you still easily get into the under floor storage area?

I am disappointed on the cargo mat as well.
The mat for my wife's 11 yrs old infiniti is much better build / fit.

The G01 mat don't stay in place, fit poorly, and all around just keep lifting up.
I am looking for replacement as well.

To be honest, I am very disappointed on how the OEM all weather mat and cargo mat.
