Pulled up to the driveway tonight (dark), all burned out (from work ) and for the life of me could not find a way to put the damn car into P, kept rocking the gear lever, for minutes. Just about to After much trial and error, located the P as a "button", BUTTON ... (rant) Hilarious... But then again, not as funny as when i got out of the car at traffic stop and realized the car was in auto start/stop, the engine just stopped at stop sign (who does that on ///M cars...). And i had full tank of gas... Should have been in sport mode... Hilarious... joke is on me... |

When ASS is active and engine shut off, the tachometer will point to "Ready" instead of "off" indicating it will restart when you release your foot brake. However, when the engine is shut off by ASS, and you decide to get out of the car to get your mail or whatever, then the car will automatically shut off completely - you will have to press the engine start button again to restart).

Also, if your gear is in "D" and you forget to release the parking brake, there is no worry if you drive away since the parking brake will get released automatically. I try not to get into lazy habits of not putting the gear in "P" when parking, or not releasing the parking brake when in "D" since I drive rental cars a lot when away for business trips. I don't like abusing cars even loaners or rentals... |

What has Ultimate Driving machine got to do with Connected Drive? Slightly odd mini rant but best of luck OP getting up to speed on the great new tech and features.
Enjoy the drive when it arrives
