BMW's systems are pretty accurate, so I'm going to guess that the order was not properly entered. My SA always sends me the VIR so I can review it and sign-off on it before he pushes the button. You may want to at least send your guy an email today. You never know when these builds freeze. Good luck.

Placed my order for a MY20 X3 M40i back in late July. Expected build date is 1st week of Sep (consistent with what a lot been posting here) although I am based in Australia and ETA for delivery will be early Nov.

Phytonic Blue
Cognac Vernasca Leather
Fineline Cove Trim
Panoramic Sunroof
Acoustic Glazing
Rear Comfort Package (rear roller sunblinds, reclining rear seats, seat heating front & rear)

Pretty much fully-optioned (Australian M40is are quite well equipped from factory - comes standard with adaptive M suspension, 718M wheels, Live Cockpit Pro, wireless charging, HK audio, Driving Assistant Plus, Parking Assistant Plus) and only missing the following options:

- BMW Gesture Control
- Heated Steering Wheel
- Sun Protection Glazing

First new build and G-series BMW - previous BMWs are all from E-series era (E46, E90/92). Will be a long wait ahead!

Did you get the scheduled date of production from your CA or from the Track My BMW?

Mine is scheduled, but I didn't see a week yet.

My PCD date has not been confirmed. Has yours?

In terms of the production date, I called the Genius hotline. They told me that they no longer had access to the production scheduling data but that the customer service group did. He transferred the call and a service rep quickly found the date. To his credit, my CA sent me the same info later the same day.

If your car is status 112 - scheduled for production, it has a production week scheduled, but the date is never shown on BMW's production tracking page.

Good luck. Let's keep track together over the next few weeks.

Question for those that have placed an order for a 2020 M40i in the US - what incentives have you received and would you mind providing amount of discount? In another thread dubveex3 posted they were told to expect 0-5%. Thanks for posting that info dubveex3. I hope to order soon for PCD delivery.

Congrats and welcome to the first weeker's club. Nice build and a great color. Good luck with the wait mate.

Pretty much fully optioned except for Driving Assistance Pro:
Alpine White
Fiona Red/Black Merino Leather
Driving Assistance Pkg
Executive Package
21" Style 718 Wheels
M Sport Differential
Space-saver Spare
Roof rails in Shadowline
Carbon Fiber Trim
HK Sound
Wireless Charging

I'm hoping to do a PCD a few weeks after production. After six EDs, it should be a fun new experience.
Has your SA let you know what options are in the connected package pro (part of executive package)

Garage List
June 5 order : seems no dealer cars are specced with Cove, M Adaptive, or M Diff
June 18 build : watched the build go step by step via the BMW iOS app
July 18 local delivery

’19 X3 M40i
Dark Graphite Metallic
Black Vernasca w/contrast
Matte Fine Line Cove

• Premium ZPP : Big screen, CarPlay, nav, hud, heated seats*
• Executive ZPX : full Dynamic instruments, 3d parking stuff, Vernasca
• 20” 699M 22W : forgot to request A/S :/
• M Differential 2T4 : because M-ish
• M Adaptive suspension 2VF : more comfy in comfort, more clever always
• Driving Assist 1 ZDA : just the passive stuff
• Hitch 3AC : for bike rack
• Acoustic Glass 3KA : sssssh
• Harmon Kardon sound 688
• Wifi Hot Spot / wireless charging / enhanced BT 6NW

*I would have added the rear heated seats but a) misread reviews stating they were standard (was for ’18?) and b) the online configurator had this option by itself on a second page that I didn’t notice in time.

Love the Phytonic Blue but went for long-term and stealthy Dark Graphite. Fine Line Cove trim makes me smile; it adds another tactile dimension and warms up the Black Vernasca interior perfectly. (Had aluminum trim in my E90 which was cool initially but over time felt cold and monochromatic). The G01's a solid piece of work, beautiful materials and top-shelf build throughout.

All I know about Connected Package Pro is that it comes along with Live Cockpit Pro and iDrive7, and since Cockpit Pro and 7 are standard on the MY20 X4, so is Connected Package Pro. All of those things are optional on the X3.

In general, I've never understood what the whole BMW Connected thing is and no one's ever been able to explain it to me. I use the BMW Connected app on my phone, but other than that I just ignore it and drive my car.

EDIT: OK, so just a bit of research . . . iDrive 6 equipped cars get Connected Package Plus (these terms are ridiculous) and iDrive 7 equipped cars get Connected Package Pro. The difference is the addition of the Intelligent Personal Assistant described here. Does anyone actually use any of this stuff?

Excellent.
I'm not confirmed as a first week production (at least not yet) so I'm still sitting with my fingers crossed.

Sorry, just saw this. Yes, it's Phytonic Blue under the light of the entryway at the Spartanburg, SC BMW Performance Center (which is actually all natural light). It was quite a sight!

My more specific curiosity is whether remote start is hiding in the connected pack

Damn, you let me rant like that and all you wanted to know about is remote start??

I really don't know about that, but from everything I've read, I'm not expecting it.

It's really the best color for both the X3 and X4 imo. Really beautiful. I just wish it worked with Fiona Red.

Couldn’t agree more. Not what I usually prefer, but definitely the best option. Looks so nice in the sunlight.
