Does anyone know if the X5M mirror caps fit our X40i mirror base?

It appears 18 model year might.

If it just the mirror cover, it won't fit.
Not sure if you are doing the whole outter ring and turn signal light too.

No the cap definitely looks a different shape.

It looks like F15 caps might fit though, I'm waiting to hear confirmation on this, if so you could get the M style caps like these:

Both of them won't fit.
Otherwise I would already post and market it.

AutoTecknic and RG Sport is currently working together to make the CF version.
So, until then, only the OEM specific for G01/G02 X3/X4 and G05 X5 that are interchangeable.

did a quick parts diagram reference on RealOEM. First glance looks like it's not possible to swap just the caps. You'd have to do the entire mirror (structure, lower cap, light, etc) if that would even fit.

and to confirm with RGSport - autoteknic is working on M style mirror caps for G01, so just wait for that to get the look instead of running down the rabbit hole of a mirror swap.

No idea on the pricing yet. But, should be cheaper than OEM.

Painted mirror covers will also be available.
I can make them already, but I have to use OEM parts, which is ridiculously priced.
