Hi, I'm also live in Bay Area, just got my X3 M40i in June 1st. MSRP price was $64,220, and the price I got was $52,500. Which makes me feel good, more than 18% off MSRP.

Hopefully with 0 down, base MF, max MSDs, 12-15% off with the loyalty and lease cash I can get into the mid $500/month range. Think that'd be realistic?

Anyone have Chicago area dealers/salespeople they like? About to send out multiple requests for a quote after my existing CA offered 5.5% dealer discount.

If you can't find a good dealer in Chicago, try out of state. I live in Tampa and ordered a X3m40 from an Atlanta dealer. Took a cheap Spirit Air flight to pick it up and had a great 7+ hour drive home after a good engine break in for first 20 miles. Got 19% off including rebates as a purchase. Reasonable dealer fee as well. Check to see if Illinois is a reciprocal sales tax state with wherever you buy the car so you don't pay double sales tax.

That's just the highball price to start the negotiation. Counter that with an offer of 10%, and make sure he/she knows that you're talking to other dealers as well. They'll never offer their best price up front. If they know you're shopping around, and if they know you're serious, they'll make a serious offer.

Yeah, the dealer has adopted a "one price" model and refused to budge. They gave me 11% dealer discount a year ago, so I told them that was my expectation...and they let me walk, so here we are.

Is that an indication of how bad the Chicago market is? That's ridiculous. Denver isn't much of a buyer's market either but the 5 dealers in total still have about 150 2019 X3s on their lots. I'm going to wait and see if BMW bumps up the incentives next month and then see what I can do once the dealers start getting antsy.

I'm actually moving from Chicago to Denver in a few days and have been trying to line up some X3 quotes at Denver area dealers. Colorado Springs and Schomp were pretty bad, straight up. The one in Boulder seemed ready to deal. Schomp had more blue and sandstone ones though .

Can't wait to see this month's numbers! Hoping the 19 incentives get a little bit stronger.

I am hopeful as well... That would seem intuitive but curious if we saw a bump in incentives last year moving from July to August?

It looks like all the credits and rates have remained the the same through September 3rd including the loyalty.

I haven't been in the market for a few months, but in June/early July my CA mentioned $10-$11k off a new X3. I don't think the incentives have changed but again, haven't looked too closely. I would think you could do better. The issue may be finding an X3 w/ spec'd the way you like.

Good luck!

Not with 7k on it. It would be a decent/good deal if new.

So what kind of pre-incentive discount should I expect on a MY2020 order?

I know that it won't be anywhere close to an on-the-lot MY19 X3, but what am I likely to see?

No way to know until you ask. My guess would be anywhere from 0-5% depending on how many dealers are competing in your area and how many 2019s they need to move.
