Does anyone here have any idea if it's possible to use ESys to code these settings (FDL-code them) in iDrive 6? Here's the link.
iDrive 7 has lots of new hardware, of course, but I'm betting the ASD amp is the same as the iDrive 6 models. It wouldn't make sense to revise it before an LCI.

Successfully coded TPMS to FTM for those looking to ditch having to deal with the sensors during wheel swaps, etc.
Remove 2VB from VO. Code NBT2, DSC, DKombi, and BCDBody. Wha-lah!

Right/Left brake lamp, reverse lamp and Daytime lamp malfunction
Hey all.. I recently retrofit LED headlights on a 2019 X3. I added 552 to VO and coded both FLM modules. Now the headlights work fine but I'm getting these errors:
Right brake lamp malfunction Left brake lamp malfunction Reverse lamp malfunction Daytime/Parking lamp malfunction I'm not sure if these things are related to my VO coding or not. I've looked around for settings like IS_LED but can't find anything. Also there is not FRM module.. which is where I'd thing these settings would be. Does anyone have an idea what the issue could be? |

Tailgate open delay using remote control: BDC_BODY2 30D0 --> RCM_Time_Delay_Bootlid --> Change the Wert_01 value from 05 (Default) to 20 (will be about 4 seconds) - try larger/longer values if you really want to be sure your pocket doesn't open the trunk. lo_cheng used 30 (~5s)... |

Didn't work. I think the issue is that it isn't mapping. Similar to what Yobyot experienced in post 550. I tried installing Java and making sure Net Framework 4.8 was installed, but it still doesn't map. I must be doing something wrong. If anyone has any other suggestions to get this to map, then let me know.

Hi, reviving this thread and hopefully someone can chime in.
So I have a 2018 X3 that has no "CarPlay preparation package" or whatever they call it from the factory. So that means no wireless antenna and I can't use the BMW Connected store to purchase/activate CarPlay, even if my phone is physically connected via USB. Not having CarPlay is driving me nuts in this X3. I have IDRIVE6, and so I'm thinking what I need is the wireless antenna and some coding to activate CarPlay. Am I correct in my thinking? Also, would it even be possible to just code and activate CarPlay and use a USB connection? Obviously I'd prefer the wireless CarPlay but I'm not opposed to a hardwire. Thanks!

It can be done...
Quote:
Just to confirm. It can be done. The wifi antenna is an inexpensive purchase on ebay. Installing it takes less than one hour, and guts to remove the front panels and head unit (HU) to plug in the back. I did it a while ago, and posted my steps. Enabling enhanced bluetooth, the next step before Carplay appears on the purchase menu, can also be done with BimmerCode (that's how I did it, and I also posted the items to change - though can't find the post now...). All of this, I had found in various posts in this and other fora. However, if the programming will be done well, it has to be done with e-Sys. This has the additional benefit of possibly coding the full screen Carplay. I did this yesterday in a remote session with Kubax86. (Big shout out to Kubax86 here - very clear instructions, fast and secure programming... boy is he fast on that e-sys)

Good luck ! It's mostly about patience, being careful with the plastic tabs. The rest, a couple of screws. Everything color coded...
